Carbon Reduction Plan
Engage Marketing Ltd is committed to reducing its environmental impact and achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with the UK Government’s Procurement Policy Note (PPN) 06/21.
This Carbon Reduction Plan outlines our emissions baseline, progress to date, future reduction goals, and the initiatives we are implementing to support a low-carbon, sustainable business. This plan is prepared in line with the UK Government’s Carbon Reduction Plan guidance for suppliers bidding for major government contracts.
Our Net Zero Commitment
We are committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050 at the latest. This commitment applies to our Scope 1, Scope 2 and relevant Scope 3 emissions across all operations.
Emissions Reporting Methodology
Our emissions are calculated using the:
- Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol Corporate Accounting and Reporting Standard
- UK Government DEFRA emissions factors
- Homeworking methodology published by BEIS for remote-based workforces
This ensures our reporting is accurate, consistent and aligned with government expectations.
Baseline Emissions (Baseline Year: 2024)
Engage Marketing operates a remote-first model with no owned buildings or fleet.
Our baseline emissions for 2024 are:
- Scope 1: 0 tCO₂e
- Scope 2: 1.2 tCO₂e
- Scope 3: 3.5 tCO₂e
Total baseline emissions 4.7 tCO₂e
Scope 3 emissions in scope include:
- Business travel
- Homeworking
- Purchased goods and services
- Waste generated in operations
- Upstream transportation and distribution
Current Emissions (2025)
- Scope 1: 0 tCO₂e
- Scope 2: 1.0 tCO₂e
- Scope 3: 3.0 tCO₂e
Total current emissions 4.0 tCO₂e
(representing a 15% reduction from the 2024 baseline)
Carbon Reduction Targets
We aim to achieve the following:
- 25% reduction by 2030 (from 2024 baseline)
- 40% reduction by 2040
- Net Zero emissions by 2050
Progress against these targets is reviewed annually and objectives are updated accordingly.

- Cloud-based tools replacing energy-intensive on-premises infrastructure
- Sustainable travel policy (rail over air, virtual meetings where possible)

- Integration of sustainability considerations within procurement processes

Governance & Review
This plan is reviewed annually and approved by the Directors of Engage Marketing Limited.
It will be updated sooner if material organisational or regulatory changes occur.

This Carbon Reduction Plan is published in accordance with PPN 06/21 and is available to the public on the Engage Marketing website.
