Visualising the Path to Net Zero

The brief

For many off-grid homes, oil and gas are the only options for heating and represent a challenge for the UK to meet its net zero commitments. Engage was commissioned by Flogas to make a short film demonstrating how gas can help in the energy transition, and how Flogas will meets its net zero objectives.

The work

Flogas had commissioned an illustrator to help create their Net Zero Vision documentation. To reinforce that work, we took those same assets and converted them for animation, creating a uniquely Flogas film. We scripted, storyboarded, cast the voice-over artiste and then produced an informative and entertaining film that tells the story of Flogas’ vision.

The outcome

It’s not easy for fossil fuel companies to talk about climate change. But through an authentic, compelling and creative approach, we were able to demonstrate Flogas’ commitment to a net zero future, with positive feedback and responses to match their positive approach. Towards Net Zero is an exemplar for honesty and education to overcome scepticism.
